Saije is an award-winning, contemporary folk duo whose soulful harmonies, dynamic guitar-lines and percussive breakdowns breathe life into heartfelt stories. Their songwriting is crafted from the depths; stirring vocals bound together with graceful lyricism. Through multitasking techniques, the pair create a full-bodied sound infused with flavours from their travels around the globe, weaving a timeless synergy of melody and rhythm that transports audiences to a space where the ancient and the new meet.
Shanteya and Jo are Bellingen based, and have been awarded the Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Young Artist of the Year, and have toured all the major festivals in Australia as well as in Canada and the US .
