Rosalie Fleming was born on 22 October 1924 at Taree to Stanley Irvine Fleming and Alice Iris Fennell.
Rosalie enlisted in the Australian Women’s Army Service on the 23 March 1943 at Central Lansdowne aged 18 years. She listed her father Stanley Fleming of Central Lansdowne as her next of kin.
Rosalie worked as a Signalwoman while enlisted and received the War Medal 1939/45 and the Australia Service Medal 1939/45.
At the time of discharge on 15 May 1946, she was posted to 12 Aust L of C Signals Unit Australian Women’s Army Service.
Rosalie’s brother Eric died as a Prisoner of War in Thailand on 7 January 1944 and her sister Joy served in the Women’s Auxiliary Australian Air Force during WW2.
