History – WW2 Soldier Donald George Fuller NX94486

Donald George Fuller was born at Krambach on 23 May 1921 to Squire Randolph Fuller and Elizabeth Longbottom.

Donald enlisted in the Australian Army on the 7 April 1942 at Upper Lansdowne stating his age as 21 years and 11 months and his occupation as farm hand. He listed his father Squire Randolph Fuller of Upper Lansdowne as his next of kin. At the time of enlistment he was posted to Inf Pool General Details Depot.

On 12 June 1942 an inquiry declared Donald as being an illegal absentee and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On 21 May 1945 a further inquiry was held and he was found not guilty of desertion from 16 April 1942 to 14 May 1945.

At the time of discharge on 2 June 1945, he was posted to Inf Pool General Details Depot.

Donald died on 18 July 1951 at Chatswood aged 31.
