History – WW2 Soldier Alec Eugene Bartlett NX168120


Corporal Alec Eugene Bartlett enlisted at Lansdowne on 11 September 1941. His Mobilisation Attestation Form states that he was aged 22 years having been born on 4 January 1919, his occupation as a Lorry Driver and noted his next of kin as his father Hilton James Bartlett of Upper Lansdowne.

After enlistment he was posted to the 1st Australian Infantry Training Battalion. At the time of discharge on 3 December 1945, he was posted to 2/48 Australian Infantry Battalion.
