Winter Weaving is a relaxed, beginner-friendly natural weaving experience where you’ll create your own piece by hand in the company of friends, and guided by Joedie Lawler Biripi Artist and Weaver.
Arrive at 1.00pm to grab a tea or coffee before we begin the hands-on session at 1.15pm. You’ll be guided through the process, so no experience is needed.
Materials will be provided.

Joedie Lawler Biripi Artist and Weaver
Natawa winmara Galbaan of Biripigal. A strong women of the Biripi people. My family is Saunders, Marr, Clarke and Russell. A descendant of the Russell Women, my Buckwea Watu the Possum. Our tribe are the Goywangal, Shark people.
I’m an artist and weaver, I mentor and teach both art and weaving and also share other traditional knowledge of country and our resources.
I currently provide artwork to “temple and Webster” and “Urban road”. My art and weaving are a contemporary expression of themes, stories and life experiences.
